Ron Bruce commented on Stop Burnco gravel mine 2017-10-28 15:43:08 -0700Why is it that we another Alberta Company is telling British Columbians to stand aside while they destroy our environment? The fact that they have been around for 4 generations doesn’t entitle Burnco to anything. First Nations have been around 14,000 years, so try to trump that statistic. And just in the case, the math confuses the mind, 14,000 years is before the pyramids were built in Egypt.
Howe Sound has suffered enough under the intentions of all industry. Poorly engineered business practices have taken their toll and Burnco is really no different.

Howe Sound is world renowned for its wild natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and the vibrant communities we call home. We value intact ecosystems that sustain and support our communities, our livelihoods, and our diverse local economies.
The proposed Woodfibre LNG project is based on faulty economics, will harm marine and terrestrial ecosystems, and poses an unacceptable health and safety risk for the communities of Howe Sound. This project does not fit our values.
We call on the Provincial and Federal governments to reject the Woodfibre LNG project and its associated pipelines and tankers.
